Food Influencer Michael Duarte shot and killed by police in Texas
Castroville, Texas, USA — Food influencer Michael Duarte was shot and killed by police after allegedly threatening to kill them during a disturbance, as reported by the Medina County Sheriff's Office.
On November 8, deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a "male subject with a knife acting erratically." Upon arrival, police reported that Duarte approached a deputy in a threatening manner, disregarding multiple commands to lie on the ground.
In a critical escalation of the situation, he reportedly charged at the deputy while yelling, "I’m going to kill you." In response, the officer discharged her weapon, striking him.
Following the shooting, Duarte received medical aid at the scene and was subsequently transported to University Hospital in San Antonio, where he was pronounced dead. Tragically, this incident occurred shortly after he had celebrated his wedding anniversary with his wife, Jessica.
