Chess grandmaster Naroditsky dies at 29
Daniel Naroditsky, the American chess grandmaster, has died unexpectedly at 29, according to a statement from his family via the Charlotte Chess Center.
A former world youth champion and a grandmaster since 2013, Naroditsky was celebrated for his skills as a commentator and educator. He recently placed ninth in the blitz world championship and was active on Twitch and YouTube.
As reported by The Guardian Newspaper, tributes from the chess community have poured in, with Hikaru Nakamura calling it “a massive loss.” The cause of death has not been revealed.
