Producer sentenced to 146 Years for drugging and killing model Christy Giles and friend
David Brian Pearce, 42, was sentenced to 146 years to life in prison on Oct. 29 for fatally drugging model Christy Giles, 24, and her friend, Hilda Cabrales-Arzola, 26, in 2021. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office confirmed the sentencing.
Convicted in February of two counts of first-degree murder and multiple sexual assaults,
Pearce was charged in July 2022 related to the drug deaths. Deputy District Attorney Seth Carmack described him as both a rapist and a murderer.
Pearce met the women at a warehouse party in East Los Angeles on Nov. 13, 2021, and took them to his Beverly Hills apartment,
where he allegedly provided them with GHB and fentanyl. Cabrales-Arzola tried to call a rideshare within 35 minutes but never took the ride.
Hours later, Pearce and his roommate, actor Brandt Osborn, dropped them off at separate hospitals.
Giles was found dead with a mix of drugs, while Cabrales-Arzola later died from multiple organ failure.
A judge declared a mistrial for Osborn, who faces charges as an accessory and is awaiting a possible retrial.
